Angela Greenwood has taken part in WALK IT Manchester, the first Crohn's and Colitis UK event in the North West of England.
Angela, who has had Ulcerative Colitis for 20 years, took on the 10k course and raised an amazing £615 for the charity. She was joined on the walk by her family including her husband David, sons Thomas and William, her two sisters and her niece.
“I am so pleased to have taken part in this event to raise awareness of the disease and I am delighted to get the chance to give something back to the charity,” said Angela Greenwood, Administrator at James Sharp & Co.
“The National Association for Colitis and Crohn’s Disease (NACC) has been an important part in helping me and the services and information they offer is invaluable.”
The Manchester walk started from the centrally located Cathedral Gardens next door to the National Football Museum, with live music and entertainment kicking off the day during registration.
“We had beautiful weather on the day for the walk we were very lucky,” continued Angela. “I’m extremely grateful for all the generous donations and would like to thank everyone who sponsored us.”
