James Sharp & Co is proud to be sponsoring a new exhibition at The Fusilier Museum in Bury, which commemorates fallen heroes of the First World War.
The Missing of the Somme exhibition features some of the many Lancashire Fusiliers who lost their lives in the Battle of the Somme, which went on for 141 days and was one of the bloodiest battles of The Great War.
Amongst the many soldiers featured in the exhibition is Second Lieutenant James Calrow Sharp, son of James Sharp the founder of the firm, which celebrated its 130-year anniversary last year.
Relatives of fallen heroes have shared information, memories and the personal effects of their loved ones in the exhibition, which will open on the 1st July, 100 years after the start of the Battle of the Somme.

The detailed stories of the men have been taken from the amazing, dedicated work of Pam and Ken Linge who have devoted a huge portion of their lives into researching the individuals named on the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing in France.
The Fusilier Museum is situated directly across from The Exchange, which houses the James Sharp offices.
