We are pleased to announce that Tom Bolton has successfully achieved his Investment Advice Diploma (IAD) from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).

The Level 4 diploma includes modules on UK Regulation & Professional Integrity, Investment, Risk & Taxation, and Securities.

Tom joined James Sharp in October 2020 as a Trainee Investment Advisor after graduating from Coventry University with a degree in geography.

He is a member of the front office dealing team and sits on the investment committee, providing support to the Investment Advisors in ensuring discretionary client portfolios are aligned to the appropriate risk profiles, asset allocations and investment objectives.

Tom thoroughly enjoyed his studies and is keen to enhance his development further by working towards chartered status.

Steve Ross, Partner, and Investment Advisor, said: “We’re delighted with Tom’s recent achievement. He has worked incredibly hard to achieve his Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma.

“Tom is now undergoing our internal training and competence regime and working through the process of becoming a qualified advisor.”

Eliot Stanton, Head of Investment Research, said: “It has been a pleasure to work alongside Tom since joining the business.

“He has applied himself diligently over the course of his studies and is making an invaluable contribution to our investment strategy.”
