The supplier deal will run for four years, effective May 2017, and will see SiS support the Australian Cycling Team up to and including the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Australian Cycling Team will work directly with SiS and its team of sports nutrition experts to create bespoke nutritional strategies to fuel their world-class athletes. Nutrition plans will be tailored for each individual athlete and will include a wide range of SiS products, including the Company's isotonic GO Gels for energy, REGO Rapid Recovery to aid recovery after exercise and innovative WHEY20 protein product.
In addition to the Australian Cycling Team the broader Cycling Australia membership of 50,000 cyclists will benefit from exclusive offers from SiS, as well as nutritional guidance throughout each year. Cycling Australia has a wide digital bias in its databases with a further 350,000 athletes across all social media channels.
SiS Chief Executive Stephen Moon commented:
“We are delighted to have signed this agreement with the Australian Cycling Team in the lead up to Tokyo 2020. Signing such an agreement with a well-established cycling body, I believe only underpins the strength and best in class nature of our sports nutrition products. As we continue to expand our footprint in the attractive and fast-growing Australian sports nutrition market, we are excited to have the opportunity to work with the substantial Cycling Australia membership of circa 50,000 cyclists as they seek to achieve their personal goals, and improve their fitness and wellbeing.”
