Board Change

Treatt, the manufacturer and supplier of a diverse and sustainable portfolio of natural ingredients for the beverage, flavour and fragrance industries, announces that Dr. David Johnston, Non-Executive Director, has given notice of his intention to retire and step down from the Board after 14 years’, following the Company’s AGM on 30 January 2025.

Vijay Thakrar, Treatt’s Chair, said “David has been a valued member of Treatt’s Board since 2011 and has made a very significant contribution during his tenure.  By the time he steps down, David will have served as a Non-executive Director for 14 years in roles including Remuneration Committee Chair, Senior Independent Director and currently, chair of the Board’s ESG Advisory Panel which, going forward, will be chaired by our CEO, David Shannon.  On behalf of the Board and all connected with the Company, I would like to thank David for his incredible dedication to Treatt. Like many others at the business, I have personally benefited hugely from David’s industry insights and wise counsel. I’m pleased that, despite entering the retirement phase of his illustrious career, David has agreed to remain available to the Company for advice on industry matters after he steps down from the Board.”

David commented “It’s with a happy and crying eye that I leave Treatt. I’m looking forward to entering an exciting retirement but sad to leave Treatt and its wonderful employees. Under our current Board and leadership, I believe Treatt has a hugely successful future ahead of it”.
